I tried to send an e-mail regarding this first posting and it came
back, dunno why, anyway the Dancing Series from PBS part 3 in
particular includes some courtship/etc. explication with regard to
Ballroom dancing, elsewhere in the series, there are riffs on the
Christian church and its fear of sensuality as expressed in dance and
in touch dancing etc. also the G. Jonas companion  book [Abrams] to
the series includes some text on related subjects. Hope this gets
