I would like to revisit this topic, now that we've had a little light
shed on it.

First, I'd like to ask any one who has the book that Kathryn mentions
handy, to give us a synopsis.  I know it's a lot to ask, so even a tiny
glimpse would be appreciated.

Then, and this is much harder, (since anyone who says anything that is at
all thoughtful here is sure to draw nitpickers' flames), these newsgroups
do have a number of readers with something to contribute to the theme of

gender - sex - sensuality - intimacy - romance in social dancing.

It could be fun to share insights and perspectives on this topic which is
as controversial as it is tabu (a Maori word meaning much more than
politically incorrect;-)
