Ahem.  May I direct your attention to the website at 
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/jmork, where the debut of the
best Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St Paul) dance floor occurred at the
meeting house of Twin Cities Friends Meeting.  Quakers not only do not
outlaw dance, in my metro area, we build floors on which people can
dance without injuring their muscles and joints!

Shakers were Quakers and danced the devil away in their meetings.
