I am trying to use emacs under NCSA telnet, but I can no longer make
marks, either with Ctrl-SPACE or CTRL-@. Any suggestions?
                   Thanks, Adam H. Lewenberg

ESC x set-mark-command is one possibility...

Actually, I have been wondering if there is a known problem between NCSA
telnet (DOS) and emacs. I know of two different people who are having this
same problem and others, but only with NCSA's telnet.

Is this a known problem? Is there a fix?

The fix is this: put

	keymap=default.tbl

in config.tel just after the line

	name=default

and then put

	set key 703 \000

in the new file default.tbl. I got this from Brad Clements

Sigh - why not include the ability to type all the ASCII characters in the
standard release?
