I can't stand Maplins, they're a glorified toyshop that happen to do spares at outrageous prices. They'll charge you a fiver for a fifty pence component, they'll tell you they have stuff in store when they don't etc etc. And as for computer tat, the rough ratio between reasonable and maplin prices is 1:2.5 The only plus side is that here (Sheffield) there are some fairly knowledgable and friendly folk working behind the parts counter. (Also a couple of braindead droids but they're the minority) Dave J.
