perhaps the MB refers to Mega Bits?

| I have a pair of 72 pin SIMMs, bought s/hand, as follows@
|
| Each SIMM has eight chips on it (all on one side), each with the
| description:
| SAMSUNG 109
| K4E640411D-JC60
| UELK23DB KOREA
|
| Furthermore, each SIMM has a paper sticker as follows:
| IRL DEM NE03216C-C4--T6
| 16X32 EDO 60 64MB
| .>;3191101402
| Void if Removed
|
| Now I would have expected these to be 64MB each, but having tried them
| in both a Dell Optiplex GL 5100 and a Mitsubishi Apricot MS series, I
| find that they are only 16MB each.
|
| Is this simply a question of mislabelled SIMMs or is there something
| else I should be aware of?
|
| Thanks in advance for any hints.
