Phil Martin wants to boot a Win ME machine in DOS mode: > I need the > command line to flash the firmware in a DVD-ROM drive to make it > region free/region selectable. I expect you can put the flash utility and binary files all on one bootable floppy. Then you can boot any version of MS-DOS and do your thing with no reference to the hard disc. If you want to maximise available conventional memory without using a memory manager, and to minimise flopy disc space used by the operating sytem, try MS-DOS 2.11! (MS-DOS 1 is a bit limited.)
