I've just installed WinFax Pro 8.

I want to use it's Talkworks Telephone to make phone calls, using a
"hands free" headset.

The Headset works fine when I play WAVs, CDs, etc, and record WAVs using
my soundcard's own software.

However, when I use my modem to dial, I can only hear the dialling tone
from the PC (a speaker on my modem?). I had a similar problem using Win
98s own dialler.

What can I do to correct this?


It may be a red herring, but WinFax's set-up for Talkworks offers four
options for Playback/ Record

        Windows Sound System (recommended)
        Modem Speaker
        Telephone Set
        Dial Phone Number

I've tried the first three of these, with no joy.

I'm using Win 98/ US R v90 internal modem/ TBS Montego II soundcard
