No problem (assuming that your win3.11 is actually windows for
workgroups 3.11). Simply install the networking software for the two
operating system. Specify that you want to share the disks on the
appropriate machine(s) and then connect them using the file manager.
One thing to be aware of is that if you share dirves on both machines
then start the Windows machine after the Windows 95 machine. On the
Windows 95 machine specify "Quick logon/connect" for the shares. This
will get around the problem of the cyclic share problem.

I cannot remember the exact answer to this (I've been using Windows 95
too long) but it copes. The two possible solutions are:
1. The directory name is truncated at 6 characters and the last two
characters are replaced by ~n where n is an incrementing number. This
ensures that directory names such as "Microsoft Visual Basic" and
"Microsoft Office" remain unique.
2. Truncated at 8 characters.
I think that option 1 is correct. This is how Windows 95 presents the
file names to the DOS box in the shortend form.
Cheers,
Mark.
