I had this trouble with Devcom. I got my scanner to work with an adaptec SCSI
card in the end.

The scanner is great but the customer service from Devcom is really REALLY bad.
Unless you know what you're doing with the inside of your PC and can afford
several hours of frustration trying to communicate with Devcom it's best to
avoid Blackwidow scanners in my opinion.
