When I boot my computer for the first time that day ( =  power on), I
get the following error message: "memory test fail".  If I then press
the reset button or <ctrl-alt-del> my computer restarts without error
messages.
When I shutdown my computer (after I've worked for a while) and
restart it (power on) within (about) an hour, there is no problem at
all.  But when I restart it (power on) after a few hours, I get the
error message again.

It seems that the error message only appears when I litteraly "COLD"
boot my computer.
Do I have a bad simm ?  Or is it something else ?

My configuration:

- Intel pentium 120 processor
- 2 x 16 MB SIMMs (60 ns)
- Chaintec 5VGM motherboard (released july 1996):
    - award bios v4.51PG (07/01/96)
    - intel 82430VX four chips PCIset
    - ZIF socket 7
    - 256K Pipeline Burst Cache (on board)
- Diamond Stealth 64 Graphics wxith 2 MB DRAM
- Seagate Medalist 1270 (1,3 GB) Hard Disk
- Zoom v.34I 28.800 Bps Fax/Modem (internal)
- Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 PnP
- Mitsumi 4 x speed Cd-Rom (internal)
