Hi,
I used the Solaris upgrade from 2.5.1 to 2.6
It worked fine but had to modify the sendmail.cf which is a copy of
main.cf with the demon entry's
Look at the file /var/sadm/system/data/upgrade_cleanup
This is what it changed on my system:-

/etc/init.d/inetinit: existing file renamed to
/etc/init.d/inetinit:2.5.1
/etc/init.d/sendmail: existing file renamed to
/etc/init.d/sendmail:2.5.1
/etc/magic: existing file renamed to /etc/magic:2.5.1
/etc/inet/netmasks: had been deleted and has now been restored.
/usr/openwin/lib/X11/XKeysymDB: existing file renamed to
/usr/openwin/lib/X11/XK
eysymDB:2.5.1
/usr/lib/makewhatis: existing file renamed to /usr/lib/makewhatis:2.5.1
/usr/share/lib/terminfo/d/dtterm: existing file renamed to
/usr/share/lib/termin
fo/d/dtterm:2.5.1
/a/etc/mail/main.cf: existing file preserved, the new version was
installed as /
a/etc/mail/main.cf.new
/a/etc/mail/subsidiary.cf: existing file preserved, the new version was
installe
d as /a/etc/mail/subsidiary.cf.new
/etc/system: existing file preserved, the new version was installed as
/etc/syst
em.new
EXISTING_FILE_SAVED_TO_OLD: /a/etc/mail/sendmail.cf
/a/etc/mail/sendmail.cf.old
