At risk of looking an idiot, I wonder if this is the problem I've just
solved on OS/2? I got a situation in which I could FTP in, but not out,
and receive mail but not deliver, with the MTU at 1500. It turned out
that with the uart set to ignore CTS it was possible to lose large
packets, but pass small ones. Having set CTS flow control on,
everything worked.
Now I'm a newbie on Linux, so I don't know if this could be the same
problem or not, but it looks suspicious.
