Maybe your best bet is to get > another fan to keep the PC cool? Aren't they supposed to blow the air out the back (at the top in towers)? Mine used to suck it in from there, but I don't know where it was supposed to blow it out, because there aren't any vents in the plastic front panel (one day I should get round to drilling some). ISTR reading that although it's common for them to be shipped this way, it's better to have the airflow from top to bottom, and it makes sense to me. So I refitted my fan the other way up. It didn't seem to be adequate during the heatwave at the end of this summer though (no symptoms, just very sluggish airflow and it felt rather hot even at idle), so I fitted a more powerful fan, which was. I might bodge the old one in as a chassis fan at the bottom if and when I get round to drilling those holes, just to make sure. -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk
