fs type vfat does not supported by Kernel?

Recently, I have rebuild my kernel.

Everything runs fine, except I try to mount the floppy disk...

mount /dev/fd0 -t vfat /mnt
mount: fs type vfat not supported by kernel

Which module should I included to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Oddly enough: VFAT. Did you compile it as a module which for some
reason isn't being loaded when required? You'll need FAT as well.

Dan, I don't think I had ever touched the filesystem section when I ran
menuconfig. It is rare, isn't it?

This might depend on whether you used the previous .config as your
default or the standard defaults (which live in somewhere like
/usr/src/linux/arch/i386/defconfig). I'd have expected a kernel based
on your previous version to carry on with FAT/VFAT, but neither is
enabled in the "standard" defaults.

A quick way to check what you've got would be:

`grep FAT /usr/src/linux/.config`

but it sounds like you need another build, making sure nothing important
goes missing.
