For everyone in (or interested in) the LinUKs RC5/DES team:
The second distributed.net DES II challenge starts on Monday 13th July.
The rc5des clients should automatically make the change from RC5 to DES
when the DES keys become available. It would be a good idea to take the
opportunity to download the latest rc5des client from
http://www.distributed.net/clients.html and ensure that your preferred
contest is set to DES. Older clients (including the ones from the
DES challenge in January) may not make the change automatically so it is
advisable to update (also newer clients sometimes have improved
performance). When DES II is finished the clients will automatically
revert back to RC5. The DES challenge shouldn't last long.
