The only real drawback is that it will not work in a Slot 1 motherboard(As
used by PII,III and Celeron)

The Athlon is about on par the the PIII for integer calculations, but it
streaks ahead with its Floating- Point Calculation speeds, which means if
you are doing anything with video/Graphics the Athlon is the one to choose.
