Checking for security patches and the like at:

        http://windowsupdate.microsoft,com

I am advised that an upgrade to DirectX 8.0a is available. Running Win
98 second edition on a Pentium 3, is there any advantage to me in
carrying out this upgrade? If so, what? Any downside?

What about upgrading the "Microsoft Virtual Machine", or to "128-Bit
Dial-Up Networking"? Under what circumstances would it be wise to do so?
