Memory loss...

I run Win98 on a dell PII 450 with 128Mb RAM.

I keep having memory problems, being unable to open new apps, or having
existing apps behave improperly or crash.

Something - possibly one of many freeware utilities I've downloaded -
seems to be hogging or leaking memory.

I'm using FreeMem Standard (that's the freeware version) and I can see
the free memory being eroded frequently and quickly.

I need to trace which app(s) is or are causing the problem. Is there a
utility which will help me with this? Would somebody please be kind
enough to talk me through a solution (by e-mail, if it's too tedious for
everyone here)?

Its got to the stage where it's getting seriously inconvenient and,
thus, annoying.

I'm running sweep, which is updated monthly, so I don't think its a
virus problem.

Do you run Netscape or SETI@Home? One or both of those leaks memory on
my PC.

Neither.
