partitioning a drive/W98

I want to partition the 4 gig drive on my Sony laptop, but I really
don't want to have to go rummaging around in DOS, neither do I want to
lose any of the data that's already on there (about 2 gig's worth).

I know Partition Magic 4 will do the job, but it's seems a bit of a
waste of money just for this one single job, so does anyone know any
easy-peasy ways of doing it that don't involve hours of staring at a
load of C:/ stuff?

Cheers

Mike

There were a couple of programs around, either freeware or shareware.
One was called FIP; I have an archive file FIP.LZH, but I don't
remember if I rearchived and renamed it. You could try an Altavista
search for fip* The one I looked at dates from 1995.

I'd always make a backup before using any of these utilities.
