I'm thinking of getting a Dell Inspiron 4150. Are floppy drives for
Inspirons internal or external? Can you purchase one without a floppy or are
they included in every purchase? Do they have bays where you can swap drives
like IBM Thinkpads?

Are there other laptops with a similar weight and functions? (2.5 kg, 37 mm
thick, P4, CD-RW/DVD combo drive).

Is the upgraded screen worth it?

What is their delivery and service like in Australia? Is it worth getting an
extended warranty?

Not sure on delivery. The dells have a 3yr warranty. The first year is
next day callout, the last 2 are return to base. Best option is do three
years callout based.

We are happy with our new 4150. Got a CD drive (extra $) and a floppy
(included)
Ours came with WindowsXP (spit!) installed. Since we use some DOS
programs that will *not* work with any form of WinNT, I reformated
and put Win98 on it.
Only problem so far is I had to get the Win98 video driver for an IBM
to get the resolution up to 800x600.
