Using a USB modem and Orange

Dear All -

How do I get my iBook to connect to the Orange ROMP (07973 100666) via my
Orange 6150e? I have a Palladio GSM/USB modem which I can connect to Demon
via 0845 nnnnnn
number, no problem, at 9600.

I haven't yet been able to get the Palladio to work to the Orange ROMP.
(Which would be faster to connect, cheaper per minute (but no faster I
understand at data transfer).)

Orange second or third line support gave me a modem initialisation string
(ATS35=0), but I'm not sure where to put it into the modem script.

iBook, Sys 9.0.4 (loverly), Palladio USB modem, Nokia 6150e (Orange)
mobile.

Help appreciated.

TIA
