I've found (the recent) NeoOffice more reliable, especially in conjunction with the odious-but-inescapable Windows/MSWord situations. But you need a goodly supply of patience! But Pages was SO slow spelling, I started to copy the text back to TextEdit for spellcheck. A waste of money. The good thing is: it's led me to discover I can keep working within BBEdit for much longer in the process (with some assistence from AppleScript) and to separate my textual intent from mere cosmetic appearance - an increasingly relevant point for (hyper)text. And it seems to work out quicker in the end. Emma
