Hi,

We are treasury consultants and linux enthusiasts looking for people
interested in creating a free treasury system under Linux .

Treasury/Fiantial systems are high demanded software, used by every bank and
finantial institution to record, report, analyse and book their finantial
transactions.

Treasury systems are expensive software ( usually around $1 million ) that
requiere lots of customizations and continous learning. This can be achieved
only having a large network of programmers/finantial specialist who can
develope things on time and that can test them extensively. Looking at linux
and the way the kernel and GNU utilities are built gave us the idea of
trying to export the model to create exactly what linux lacks: free
applications with a proper ( and chargable ) support.

You don need to have a finantial background or a high level of programming
skills. You only have to be linux enthusiast, have internet access and be
interested in learning about finantial/banking systems. The core of the
system will based in C++ and a database system under linux. Users interfaces
will be added later using : Java, VBasic, Xlib or even ncurses.
