The chapters in the free physics text on
www.motionmountain.org
have been reworked for readability and clarity.
Many new challenges have been added.
The text is well over 700 pages, every one
as surprising and challenging as possible,
so that opening it at random should always be
an interesting experience.
There are introductions to all fields of physics,
from how David Copperfield flies, to the methods of
levitation, on quantum theory in the courtroom,
Galilei and atoms, relativity and cosmology,
how to produce electricity with water pipes
at home, etc.
Many new challenges have been added.
Thanks to all who have send corrections,
but in particular to Adrian Kubala, who edited
several chapters for the benefit of all readers
on the web.
Enjoy!
