Useful FAQ.  Clarifies what I believed (knew)... that the harmonisation
was a fudge on paper only, and that nothing really changed in terms of
electricity supply or consumer electricals.

I wonder how much taxpayers money was spent formalising that lot in EU
law books, when manufacturers have been selling products designed to
work across the complete range of European voltages for years! (ie EU &
non-EU countries, and before the EU even thought about harmonisation!)
