What type of car you would you most like to race ?

Which type of car (be it one suitable for driving in a normal urban
area and / or any professional racetrack only standard cars) would
most like to race against if you had to
(on either a road, or on a professional race track), assuming you'd be
driving (if money wasn't a limitation) the preferred type of car you'd
want to race against it.

Any time you'd care to come up with the plain English version of that would
be fine really.

I think he means a GT type car rather then a specially made prototype.

Two off the top of my head are the Mustangs and Corvettes currently used
in GrandAm/ALMS.

If money were no object I'd love a crack at a NASCAR Nextel Cup car, at
Daytona and Bristol. But if limited to a standard road car I reckon I'd
go for a Radical SR8 and race it against just about anything, at Brands
Hatch (Indy), Oulton Park and Croft (my local), preferably.

I think he's asking what standard road car you'd like to race, and what
would you like to race it against, either on the street or a race track.
Money no object.

Several replies to your question were not very kind.

Disregard those replies -- apparently the people who said mean things about
you don't realize that standard English is not your native language.

If you mean a production car, then:

Me: Ferrari F430 GT
Other: Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (the 997 version, of course)
Venue: Watkins Glen - full course

There's elegance in its simplicity; a bit like the Lotus Seven.
(Whether it also becomes a classic remains to be seen.) I'd love
to drive one - but I'm no racer.

My favourite race would have to be Top Gear's "Duel @ Prescott Hill".
Oldies (Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite) vs. Ricers (Pug 306 V6) - classic!

The track itself is on par with most other road courses, but the armco
barriers are very tight and there's a frightening lack of run-off in
some dangerous areas (like the Esses, the Outer Loop, and the exit of
the Boot). The curves have a very graceful, natural flow to them and the
elevation changes (equivalent to an 11-story building from highest point
to lowest point IIRC) add to that. Even the chicane at the end of the
backstretch has a decent flow to it. It's much like a North American Spa
IMHO.

I've done the California desert in a VW Beetle and on a series of CZ
Enduros and it was fun, but I'd like to try something different now that
I'm an old geezer.
Swamp buggies look like they'd be a hoot:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH_FVSkoNfM

And I've had a desire to get behind the wheel of a AA/Fuel Altered since
I was a kid in the 60s:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-272386709386326186
&q=aa+fuel+altered&hl=en

Wait a minute, didn't the OP say money was no object? I'd buy up all the
land where Riverside Raceway used to sit, knock down the new buildings,
rebuild the track, resurrect Mark Donohue (because I'd definitely need a
topnotch tutor) and see what kind of damage I could inflict on a Porsche
917/30.

Lap of Thruxton 1m 09s, 6 seconds quicker than a superbike. Your Atom

Nah, not a bit like the Lotus, that car is a work of art. I prefer the
more modern Dax Rush, but the Seven is the Grandaddy.

If your saying you'd, love to *drive* and Atom, then I really with
you. I just dont want any one seeing me in it !!!! :)
