I'm in California, but I'd like an overcoat/jacket like the British
police, especially (obTransport) traffic patrol wear.

(see

        http://omor/com/ride/clothing/

for sample pictures).

The high visibility clothing I've seen offered here in the US
market is typically a vest or a poncho (very baggy anorak).

I haven't seen anything in cut like a parka or jacket, other than
the jacket from an Aerostitch two-piece suit motorcycle rider's suit.
The Aerostitch is expensive, and has padding, etc that I don't want
in my over-jacket.

What I want is a large jacket theat I could put over a snug fitting
leather jacket; this large overjacket should be bright
yellow-limegreen, have reflective stripes, and utility pockets.
Also, I'd like to avoid the unbreathable fisherman's rubber rain slick.
A water-resistant cloth construction would be best, I think.

Any suggestions for a catalog, imported, or vendor would be appreciated.

I have a Belgian Baleno jacket that I bought in the UK. They're
practically standard uniform for despatch riders (m/c messengers)
there. The only online link I could find was:

http://www.sioen.be/eng/products/apparel/aindex.htm

Which doesn't have my exact jacket, but I did buy it 6+ years ago.
Follow the link and click on "high visibility clothing". That what
you're looking for?

Tony.

There are a bunch of police supply places that sell all kinds of "duty"
wear, including
high-visibility jackets. Here is a link to Galls. They have a huge printed
catalog
and it looks like they have lots of stuff online....

Walmart has yellow rain suits and coats.

There is a website which sells rolls of reflective tape for bikes ($20 a roll
last I looked) in many colors. The tape can go on the jacket and/or bike (color
co-ordinate the bike, they even have black reflective tape).

Checl page #3 on my site for a link.
