Police radar guns (Hand held versions still operate on X band, the only things in the
uk that operate on K are automatic doors (B&Q, Texas etc.).  K band can sometimes pick
up KA as a harmonic but will give no worthwhile notice.  I will say I have been using a
hidden radar detector for years and have been saved from 30mph hand guns many a time ..
