Not sure what you're looking for, but -- For beer, Max's on Broadway in Fell's Point is unbeatable in terms of selection. 65 taps (most are micro's) and 200+ bottled varieties. Young crowd late on weekends, but great place early evening and weeknights. Also: Racer's in Parkville is a great beer bar. Wharf Rat Camden Yards and Baltimore Brewing Co. (near Little Italy) are both very good brewpubs, where excellent beer is brewed and served on site. If you're looking for a strip joint, I can't help much. To my knowledge, nice and safe doesn't exist anywhere near the Inner Harbor in that category. The Block is a waste of time and money, and is not safe or nice. Kaos, in Towson, might be your best bet. Good luck, have fun, and please do not drink and drive.
