My roommate has succumbed to the allure of the tropics and is moving to
Hawaii for his post doctoral work. While I am all for having friends in

exotic places to go visit, I now need to find a roommate.

Date: Nov. 1 (1 yr. lease preferably)
Place: 7938 Lakecrest Dr. Greenbelt, MD 20770
 (301) 513-9696
Rent: $375 + 1/2 utilities ($50-75) per person approx.

Contact: Kartik Sheth at the above phone number or via email:
kartik@astro.umd.edu

House: This is part of the Charlestowne Village community near Greenbelt

Lake. The house is a 2 story townhouse. The ground floor has a half
bathroom, kitchen (gas stove, garbage disposal but no dishwasher),
living room and dining area and a balcony. The top floor has the two
bedrooms and a full bath.

Parking: There is one reserved parking spot and 5 visitor spots in the
parking lot immediately adjacent to my place and plenty of additional
parking in the community and on the street.

Washer/Dryer: A pair of washer/dryers are located in each row of
townhouses (there are 6 units in each row I think).

Public Transportation: The UM Shuttle Bus and the Metro Bus stop only
200 feet from the house at the intersection of Lakecrest and Lakeside
Dr. The Greenbelt Metro Station is about 2 miles away and the College
Park Metro is about 3.5 miles away.

Neighbourhood: Charlestowne Village is located in Old Greenbelt, 300
yds from the Greenbelt Lake and 0.7 miles from the center of town.
The street itself dead ends in a another townhouse community. The
Lake is about 1.5 miles around and has a nice walking/biking trail
around it with many picnic areas. Old Town Greenbelt town center is
the center of activity in this very close-knit residental community.
There is a Food Cooperative, a P&G Theatre, a barber shop, post
office, video store, a community fitness and acquatic center, baseball
and softball fields, sand volleyball and tennis courts
etc. etc... everything one could possibly need.

What am I looking for: I would like to find a graduate
student/faculty/professional person. Preferably someone who is
liberal, easy going and all that good stuff. Also since I have been a
vegetarian all my life I would really like to find a roommate who is
also vegetarian or at least mostly vegetarian.
