A new Movie, Empire Records, will be released early October. Its about
an indie record shop that has to work from going corporate...

Two of the bands featured on the soundtrack, Ape Hangers and Lustre,
will be performing at Atlantis (the other club within the 9:30 Club) on
Sept. 6 andthe club is making a party out of it.

Vinyl Ink Records & Go! Compact Discs, as well as other indie record
stores in the area, have been invited to have a presence at the club --
selling, giving stuff away, chatting -- whatever. 9:30/Atlatis will also
have music from A&M (who's got the soundtrack) to give away, as well as
tickets to see
another artist from the soundtrack (Edwyn Collins) who's performing on
Sept. 10.

Doors will open at 9 p.m....and it should be fun!
