This is to advise that an RFD to charter us.taxes has been posted
to us.config and us.taxes under Subject: [RFD] Proposal to charter
us.taxes.

us.taxes has existed since 1992, but has never been chartered.
The purpose of the group is to provide a forum for discussion of
all aspects of US tax law.  Traffic is pretty good, and discussions
are usually pretty much on topic.

Readers of can.taxes and the misc.taxes groups are encouraged
to read and react to the proposal.  In particular, we are concerned
as to how you feel about crossposts to your respective newsgroups,
and if you think we need to insert any language on that.

We do not take votes in us.* -- adoption of the charter will be by
consensus in us.config.
