I usually don't respond in the activist groups, but when I heard about
this -- especially after hearing of Bubba's sudden new-found compassion
for Leonard Peltier and desire to liberate criminalized drug users, all I
felt was sick and disgusted.

Since day one, Clinton and his New Democrats have been top-drawer slimy
panderers, doing and saying anything to keep the progressives from
deserting his corporate tit-sucking outfit formerly known as the "Party of
the People". Remember in late '95, his sudden concern for black churches
being torched in the South, his commissioning of a big spiffy report?
Forgot all about it after the '96 Elections, too, as you'll recall. And
certainly you can't forget the AL2000 Unit's stellar attempt to magically
change from a corporate centrist flunkie to an ass-thumping populist when
it became clear that the progressive wing had just about reached the limit
of shit it's willing to take from the New Democrats?

Now, all of a sudden, now that the Democrats have been bounced from power,
Clinton's pandering again to the progressives, like, "don't forget us in
'02 and '04". And on top of this, Hillary handing out food to the poor in
Harlem (did anyone tell this bitch that the election is _over_?) for the
cameras, adding to the most revulsive display of pandering ever seen in my
own lifetime.
