THE COMPANY:  Our client provides language and cultural conversion of  US
manufactured software products - enabling these programs to be used in a
foreign region.  The company hires qualified applicants from anywhere in

REQUIRED:  English language, plus the foreign language specified, and
software experience required that is listed in the paragraph below.
Equally important are any of the following key words:  DBCS (double-byte
character set) or double-byte enabling, IME (input method editor),
internationalization, localization, bi-directional enabling, GDI or font
expertise, Natural Language Processing, or Linguistics.

TITLE/DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:   NETWORK LOCALIZATION S/W - JAPANESE
Primary responsibilities include managing the production of Internet
products for Far East Asian languages, especially Japanese.  This includes
driving localization and internationalization based on language or regional
market requirements.  Qualifications should include experience with at
least one full commercial product release cycle, familiarity with PCs and
MS Windows, OS/2, oral and written communication skills with Japanese and
English, including public speaking and ability to negotiate contracts, and
a strong customer orientation.  Proficiency in at least two of the
following technology areas required:  DBCS enabling, IME enabling, Java,
ActiveX, Networking with TCP/IP or World Wide Web.  Must be able to travel,
work extensively at a keyboard, and work flexible hours.  A BA/BS or MS
degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.

MIN/MAX EXPERIENCE:  At least 3 years in a software development environment
-  and no more than 10 years in information technology.
