It's just been announced that Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah, plus
communities along the Wasatch Front, are ending the use of the automobile.
Other states throughout the West, including California and its cities, and
all cities in the Pacific Northwest, Oregon, Washington, Canada, Europe,
Africa, South America, and Asia are ending auto use. All US cities have done
this.
The environmental movement has triumphed!

All US cities have done this. Typical liberal: If you don't like reality, you'll just make up your own. > The environmental movement has triumphed! Not while m'man Dubya is president, it won't. Speaking of cars, I drive a diesel. This allows me to have the best of both worlds: I get great mileage _and_ piss off liberals! (And no, I'm not going to run the thing on French-fry grease, thank you very much. Nothing but dino oil for the ol' Clatterpanzer.) You've got to put ALL you can into the garbage disposal. They tried to get a thing going here to scrape all your plates and food prep into the garbage can so that they'd have more water for their spawn. Bwaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha................

Starting today, all European, Canadian, South American, Asian, African,
and Australian cities are becoming totally car-free and are becoming
pedestrian, bicycle, and mass transit-only cities. Today, the legendary
Earth Day, begins a new era in transportation and transportation policy.
Car-free cities are also being built in Europe and the U.S.
Vancouver, B.C., Canada has just kicked off its car-free existence with
an inaugural address by that city's mayor.
