Hi,

I have a few items which are not exactly state-of-the-art, but may be
useful for others. Prices are negotiable.

1. Macintosh Fax / 2400bps external modem. Works well, useful software
with FULL FAX SEND/RECEIVE capability. The 2400bps data rate is fine for
e-mail and text-only terminal or Internet functions. Asking $90 (incl
disks, manual, power adaptor, cables - in box).

2. IBM compatible internal 2400bps modem. Works well, fine for e-mail and
text-only terminal or Internet functions. Asking $50.

3. IBM compatible hand-held 400dpi black and white scanner. Includes
software for Windows. Scans a 10cm wide strip at up to 400dpi; will
handle greyscales by half-toning. Perfect for scanning signatures for
faxes or documents, small diagrams, logos, etc. In box with manuals,
disks and interface card. Asking $90.

Please reply by e-mail (I don't read news much). My address is
matthewk@postoffice.utas.edu.au

      Thanks,

         Matthew Kirkcaldie.

Hi

nothing personal but...

$90 for a 2400 external modem is a ripoff

i sold one a few months back with cables, fax software etc for $20

and i only purchased it for $10.

I now have a 14.4K external which i purchased for only $150.

Price is negotiable - I thought $90 for full fax capability (at 9600 bps)
was quite OK. If not, I guess it won't sell, will it? Thanks for your
contribution.

Matthew.

I just missed one for $10 and bought one for $20 :-)
