HELP: Himem.sys error

Greetings,

I have just installed additional 4x1MB SIMMs to fill all the memory
banks on my PC. However, when I boot the system, reconfigured the cmos
setup, the himem memory manager was not able to load indicating an error
when the memory was tested. I removed the new 4x1MB SIMMS and booted the
system again and it worked fine. Then I swapped it with the new SIMMs
and it also worked fine. When I put all the SIMMs back on the
motherboard and boot the system, the same error occurs.

Can I assume that there are no error or defects in the SIMMs? If there
are no physical defects on the SIMMs, what can cause that error that I
am facing? Any of you good people out there can give me some hint?

I think that assumption is ok
Problem could be bad simm sockets!

1. Faulty simm sockets
2. Check your motherboard's spec's you may have to put either single or
double sided simms in the bank depending what your original simms are.
