Trail Day at Walnut Creek Park

Come help build trails at Walnut Creek Park! A group of volunteers has built ~12 miles of trails at Walnut Creek Park, an Albemarle Co. Park just south of town. These trails are great for walking, running, dog walking, bird watching, mountain biking, etc... We're going to make one final push to finish lots of remaining projects, so we can enjoy the trails all summer long. So, come out and help. It's fun and a worthwhile cause! Saturday, March 21, 1998, 10-12 am (The park is about 10 minutes out Old Lynchburg Road.) Bring tools if you got 'em (shovels, hoes, pick-axes, clippers, wheelbarrows (really!). But, come even if you don't have tools! And bring water and refreshments for yourself.
