I'm Robert Van de Castle, and I'm looking for dreams
about angels.

I am a clinical psychologist and Professor Emeritus from
the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center with
an extensive background in parapsychology and dreams. I
am a former president of the Association for the Study
of Dreams. In 1994, Ballantine Books published my book,
*OUR DREAMING MIND*.

I am currently working on another book which will involve
a presentation of dreams in which angelic figures have
appeared. Such figures need not have wings or halos.
They may appear as luminous beings, or as helpful entities
who provide support, comfort, and guidance to the dreamer.
It is the subsequent feeling tone of joy, peace, and contact
with a higher power or "Source" which is the most important
element in such dreams, rather than the form that the "angel"
may take.

If you or anyone you know has had such a dream, I would be
deeply grateful to receive an account of it. These can be
offered in your own name or under a pseudonym. I would also
appreciate some background information about the dream,
whether you've ever had a previous dream of this type, and a
brief mention of your spiritual orientation prior to or after
the dream.

Please send your dream accounts to:

If you have any questions or need further information, you can
also ask me by writing to the address above. You can also
send e-mail to carole@email.unc.edu, although it might not reach
me quite as quickly.

Thanks very much, in advance, for any help you can offer which
might facilitiate my efforts to present some of the extensive
possibilities for spiritual illumination that dreams can offer.
