I am an artist and writer in Charlottesville. My work revolves around a
series of recurring fictional characters - my works depict them and the
places that have meaning to them. For more information, please visit the
my website at http://www.cstone.net/~sand/, where you can learn more
about these characters, their stories, the artwork, and the artist. I
also have a free giveaway for visitors to my website - you can win a
painting just for visiting!

I've been painting since 1982, and have won numerous awards for my work,
including a 1994-1995 Individual Artist Fellowship from the Virginia
Commission for the Arts. I have exhibited work extensively throughout
the south.

My figurative paintings are known for their soft, atmospheric style. The
figures are relaxed and comfortable, displaying a serene and subtle
nature. All of the paintings are original, one-of-a-kind works - the
medium is acrylic paint on particle board, which retains its somewhat
rough and uneven edges and texture.

I have a number of small nudes for sale on eBay - the minimum bids are
all $30.00 - $35.00, so they are very affordable. You can see the
auctions I have now at:
