Sorry, but you do not know why she has the cat. When I was in
college, someone was throwing kittens into a major highway one
day, and I and my friends managed to save them from being run
over. The SPCA would not take any of them for a week, and since
we were all in dorms, we could not keep them, so we posted and
gave them to good homes that could give them time, love, and
housing that we, as college students, could not. 

Do not be so quick to judge other people when you do not have
any information about them.
