Hello: On 9-7-98 at 12:30pm Officer T.D.Layman recovered 2 stolen bikes and 1 bike wheel from 2 juveniles at the Aquatic Fitness Center. Although the thieves were identified, he needs to know the owners of the bikes in order to proceed with an arrest and to return the bikes to them. Listed below is a description of the items Officer Layman recovered. If you believe one of them is yours, call 911 for an officer to meet you and give him a copy of this message. 1) 820 Trek Mountain Bike blue/greenish in color 2) Black Specialized Sport Rock Mountian Bike (owner may had claimed this one by the time of this message). 3) Mountain bike tire size 26"x1.9 Also be aware that bike larcencies are already starting up. Please lockup your bikes and report anyone suspicious near the bike racks, etc.. -- Officer Mark Pannell University Of Virginia Police Department E-mail: map@virginia.edu Home Page: http://www.people.virginia.edu/~map/
