The UVA Mountain Bike Club is sponsoring a trail maintainance day at Big Levels in the George Washington National Forest (near Sherando Lake) on Sunday, September 29, 1996. If you enjoy hiking or biking on the trails in the GW, please think about coming out to help us maintain them! We will be working with the Forest Service on erosion control on the top of the Mill Creek Trail (the switchback climb). When: Sunday, September 29 at 10:00 am Where: Meet at intersection of Mill Creek Trail and FR162 (the top of the mountain) Directions: Take the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Bald Mountain Overlook/ entrance to FR162 (just south of mile marker 22). Park at the overlook and walk/bike 1.3 miles down FR162 to intersection with Mill Creek Trail. Bring: Food and water for yourself. Enthusiasm. Tools will be provided. Come out and get some exercise and do an environmental good deed! for more information email lal4e@virginia.edu or cpd2k@virginia.edu
