There seems to be a trend amongst Companies like BCtel, CANtel, BCHydro, BCTel and the like in the Province of British Columbia to refuse paper money in financial transactions and bill payments. Do they have the right to refuse paper money ? I was under the impression that paper money is legal tender in any situation. Am I wrong ?
