I mean some federal site or a lawyer or whatever that has some credibility. Refusing to take cash does not mean a refusal of payment. If it does, I sure would like to see where it says so. Just because it says legal tender on it does NOT mean someone has to accept it for payment. Other than federally. But, if I am wrong I am sure you will show us where you got your wisdom from and prove me wrong. This issue came up about a year ago when I posted a question about paying a bill in coins. Nobody could answer the question. Also just for your info, the assistant manager at Royal Bank Main branch Vancouver (forgot his name) told me that there was NO legal requirement forcing anybody to accept anything as payment. In other words you can request payment in any form you want as long as it is legal and refusing to pay in whatever commodity does not wipe out the dept. Also, anybody who refuses cash is just asking to loose a LOT of business unless they are a monopoly. > >If they refuse cash then they have refused payment! > >Get that on tape! > >Colin -
