Biomaterials POST DOC position available

A two year postdoctoral position, funded by the Medical Research Council of  
Canada, is available in the Heart Valve Research Laboratory, in the John P.  
Robarts Research Institute, London, Ontario. The project involves the study of  
alternative chemical cross-linking techniques and micromechanical analyses of  
bioprosthetic heart valves. 

The Robarts Research Institute is the largest autonomous medical research  
institute in Canada.  It is affiliated with both The University of Western  
Ontario and University Hospital.

The Heart Valve Laboratory is recognized worldwide as a leader in the  
biomechanics and mathematical modelling of artificial heart valves.  The  
Laboratory has four principal investigators, four technicians and seven  
graduate students.

It is essential that the Candidate have a background in physical chemistry,  
biochemistry, or biomaterials.  The Heart Valve Laboratory is very  
interdisciplinary and good oral and written communication skills are required.   
The position is available immediately, but the start date can be flexible.
