I'm looking to buy a new or used 14.4k baud (or higher) modem with V.32/bis
correction and V.42bis data compression with MNP levels 1-5 & 10. Fax option
is not needed. Preferably an external type.

What brands are the best to look at? I know US Robotics modems are standard
but are expensive and other companies offer 100% compatability at lower prices.
How about Supra, Zoom, Telebit, Star, Storm, Intel etc.?
What kinds of prices would I expect to pay for a 14.4k? 38.4k?
Also does anyone know of stores in Ontario that has good deals on these?
