Graphic lines won't line up

I have an anoying problem with WordPerfect 8, which I did not use to
have. Since I reinstalled the suite on a new computer a few months
ago, this behaviour has showed up.

I use a table-production software which produced good old ASCII files.
The data are formatted within boxes defined by graphic characters (hex
DA, C4 and the like). When I read in this file into WordPerfect and
apply a fixed-font format like Courier New, on-screen display,
including in page mode is fine: everything lines up. However, when I
print to any of the printers I use (an HP 5P, an Epson Stylus Pro or
Acrobat Writer), the lines mess up as if I was printing using a
proportional font!

Again, this did not use to behave like that. I must have found a fix
years ago but I can't remember.

Can anyone help? Please send the reply by e-mail as well as this
newsgroup since I don't always have access to usenet.

Thanks in advance.

Try changing to left-justification only, and if the tables in question are
being imported into WP, ensure that the default font is not overriding the
tables font.
