I don't have Wordperfect. I have Word 2000. How do I view a Wordperfect .dat
file?

Nehmo answers himself ...
The way to convert WordPerfect .dat files to .txt or .html is to use
Aerospace Software Ltd.'s Perfect Text Tools from
http://www.AerospaceSoftware.com
It works.  The 'auto' mode (program decides what format type of .dat file it
is) didn't work for me, however. So experimentally try each format
selection.

Hi Nehmo,

You could also try opening them in Excel. I'm not 100% certain, but I
can recall suggesting this to someone and I believe it worked.

If it does convert, you could leave it in Excel or copy/paste to a
Word document.
